Thanks for the update, glad to hear you were able to repair both the lens and power connection.
If You have a problem to open this camera let me know. I soldered them and now the camera works like a charm. Now after opening back side and getting inside the camera I found that cables connecting a camera with the batteries are disconnected. I took lens to the pieces and cleaned it from fungus. I must also tell You that earlier- couple of months ago I also managed to open this camera from lens side. I just wanted to let You know that I managed to open my Agfa from back side finally. I was looking for something simple to use (with automatic) but with a soul of retro (I do not like the snapshot cameras from 90's) if you know what I mean :) I think I will hunt for another stock of Agfa Optima Flash. It is very problematic to open the camera from the back side- I've tried but without a success. I removed them but as described above an automatic doesn't response. The lens was covered by fungus from inside. I used to open this camera from the lens side. Try google for this problem, if you're handy, and have the tools you may be able to open the camera and resolder the wires, or take it to a camera repair shop. If the battery leaked a lot it may have seeped under the contacts and corroded connecting wires breaking the power connection to operate the camera. Haj.pawel:Sorry to hear of this misfortune.

Does anyone know what to check, what can be broken? The camera is in perfect condition- looks almost untouched. I do not hear any sound signal which should be heard when the light is not enough to shoot without a flash, there is no green/red diode light signal when the shutter button is half-pressed. I mean the shutter is released always with the same speed- no differences when I set the lens toward a bright area or dark one. Unfortunately after I loaded the batteries camera doesn't seem to respond in any way.
